Effective May 24, 2020 until further notice, the amount of the Peak Surcharges applied to shipments from China Mainland and Hong Kong SAR to the U.S. will increase. The Peak Surcharge applied to international shipments from all other origins will continue to apply. As the Coronavirus situation continues to evolve, Peak Surcharges are subject to change and Peak Periods may be extended or otherwise changed. Effective March 2, 2020, general rates will increase by 5.4 percent. This rate adjustment applies to non-contractual less-than-truckload (LTL) shipments rated on the current UPS ® Freight 525, 560 and 570 tariffs. Rates based on the current UPS ® Freight 571 tariff for Mexico will not change. The impact of this general rate increase may vary by specific lane or shipment characteristics such as weight or class. Customers will be able to view and download the new rates at www.upsfreight.com beginning March 2, 2020. www.upsfreight.com Also effective March 2, 2020, all UPS ® Freight published fuel surcharges will increase by 0.5 points. February 11, 2020 Update to U.S. Fuel Surcharges Effective March 2, 2020, the fuel surcharges for U.S. Ground, Air, Import, and Export services will increase. This supports ongoing expansion and capability enhancements as we strive to maintain the high service levels you expect from UPS. Below is an overview of our 2020 Rates.* Package The following changes will become effective December 29, 2019: The rates for UPS ® Ground, UPS Air and International services will increase an average net 4.9%. A Rebill fee will be assessed for each request to change the billing account for a shipment. A Prohibited Item fee will apply to packages containing prohibited articles or restricted articles not in compliance with all UPS policies and procedures and applicable laws and regulations if found in the UPS system. Value-added services and other charges will apply to undeliverable packages returned to the shipper. UPS reserves the right to assess a late payment fee in an amount set forth in the UPS Tariff/Terms and Conditions of Service if an invoice is not paid in full by the invoice due date. The weight threshold for applying an Additional Handling surcharge will be lowered from 70 pounds to 50 pounds actual weight for UPS Ground and UPS Air services.
